The Basic Plug-Out Kit is the small, least expensive, omni-useful power-out device that is compaitble with most hybrids. Add our simple Plug-Out kit to your Hybrid [including Prius] and produce power for days on end, with a minimum of fuel use. Just run an extension cord from your car to the house, campsite, worksite, or tailgate party and enjoy the power.  Connect any appliances and devices, just don't exceed the kit's power rating when you add new appliances by watching the included power meter.  See the WATTAGE CAPACITY PLANNING.

The Basic unit is connected to the Hybrid's 12v accessory battery [usually located in the trunk area] by the customer.  It is the big brother of the 100-300 watt inverters connected via the cigarette lighter socket, except that the 1Kw Basic Plug-Out kit far more powerful and must connect directly to the 12v battery.  

The Basic Plug-Out kit is compatible with most Synergy [tm-Toyota] based Hybrids, including the Prius, HighlanderH, LexusH, Nissan AlitmaH, Ford EscapeH, Ford FusionH.  It also works on Honda hybrids [max 800w], and many others.  Contact ConVerdant on the Contact page to ask questions.  Desireable features of a compatible car are a trunk mounted 12v battery [preferred], a 12v power feed from the car in excess of 1kw [100amp fuse], and start-stop technology for the engine [preferred].  Trunk mounted for easy setup with the heavy cable, 1kw power feed so the car can handle the full power range of the device, and start-stop technology [not required] maximum fuel efficiency. 

Other hybrid models may be compatible if they satisfy the requirements, or if the device can be operated within the capabilities of the car.  We don't recommend guessing, if you don't know.  The car repair may cost more than the device.

We offer the inexpensive 1kw Plug-Out Kit for use with most hybrids. Anyone with a compatible hybrid should get one of these for any adhoc power needs.  It's portable, low cost, and easy to set up.  You'll be pleasantly surprised how many situations and devices you can power:  at home, camping, worksites, tailgate parties, etc. 

We have two models:  MSW [modified sine wave] and PSW [pure sine wave].  The modified sine wave MSW is essentially a slightly rounded square wave whos benefit is an acceptable power signal is least cost to manufacture.  The difference between the square wave and the desired sine wave turns into electrical interference and heat on the device being powered.  But it is lowest cost.  The pure sine wave PSW inverter makes a power signal even cleaner than the Grid supplies so applinaces operate happier and cooler.  And, because the power in either product is battery sourced, it also adapts to power fluxuations much cleaner and faster than store-bought mechanical generators, whose power transients can damage appliances.
